on CentOS 8.
What is bacula-libs-sql
Bacula is a set of programs that allow you to manage the backup, recovery, and verification of computer data across a network of different computers. It is based on a client/server architecture. This package contains the SQL Bacula libraries, which are used by Director and Storage daemons. You have to select your preferred catalog library through the alternatives system.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install bacula-libs-sql
on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install bacula-libs-sql.
Install bacula-libs-sql on CentOS 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install bacula-libs-sql
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install bacula-libs-sql
Install bacula-libs-sql on CentOS 8 Using yum

How To Uninstall bacula-libs-sql on CentOS 8
To uninstall only the bacula-libs-sql
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove bacula-libs-sql
