on Kali Linux.
What is bluebird-gtk-theme
bluebird-gtk-theme is:
Bluebird was the default theme for Xubuntu 10.10 but since 2011, Greybird
has been Xubuntu’s default theme. As its name indicates, Bluebird is a
blue theme. The Shimmer Project are the designers and developers of both
Bluebird and Greybird.
Although originally created for Xfce, Bluebird also supports other
GTK+-based environments including Cinnamon, GNOME Shell, MATE, and Unity.
There are three methods to install bluebird-gtk-theme
on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install bluebird-gtk-theme Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install bluebird-gtk-theme
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install bluebird-gtk-theme
Install bluebird-gtk-theme Using apt
Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install bluebird-gtk-theme
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install bluebird-gtk-theme
Install bluebird-gtk-theme Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install bluebird-gtk-theme
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install bluebird-gtk-theme
How To Uninstall bluebird-gtk-theme on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the bluebird-gtk-theme
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove bluebird-gtk-theme
Uninstall bluebird-gtk-theme And Its Dependencies
To uninstall bluebird-gtk-theme
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove bluebird-gtk-theme
Remove bluebird-gtk-theme Configurations and Data
To remove bluebird-gtk-theme
configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge bluebird-gtk-theme
Remove bluebird-gtk-theme configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove bluebird-gtk-theme
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge bluebird-gtk-theme
