Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install boost-math
on CentOS 8.
What is boost-math
Run-time support for C99 and C++ TR1 C-style Functions from the math portion of Boost.TR1. boost-math 1.66.0 10.el8 x86_64 264 k boost-1.66.0-10.el8.src.rpm appstream Math functions for boost TR1 library http Boost and MIT and Python Run-time support for C99 and C++ TR1 C-style Functions from the math portion of Boost.TR1.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install boost-math
on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install boost-math.
Install boost-math on CentOS 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
The output should look something like this:

Metadata cache created.
After updating yum database, We can install boost-math
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install boost-math
Install boost-math on CentOS 8 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh

using yum

How To Uninstall boost-math on CentOS 8
To uninstall only the boost-math
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove boost-math
