Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install cairomm
on CentOS 8.
What is cairomm
Cairomm is the C++ API for the cairo graphics library. It offers all the power of cairo with an interface familiar to C++ developers, including use of the Standard Template Library where it makes sense. cairomm 1.12.0 8.el8 x86_64 69 k cairomm-1.12.0-8.el8.src.rpm appstream C++ API for the cairo graphics library http LGPLv2+ Cairomm is the C++ API for the cairo graphics library. We can use yum
or dnf
to install cairomm
on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install cairomm.
Install cairomm on CentOS 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install cairomm
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install cairomm
Install cairomm on CentOS 8 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install cairomm
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install cairomm
How To Uninstall cairomm on CentOS 8
To uninstall only the cairomm
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove cairomm
