Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install code-saturne-doc on Kali Linux.
What is code-saturne-doc
code-saturne-doc is:
The basic capabilities of Code_Saturne enable the handling of either
incompressible or expandable flows with or without heat transfer and
turbulence. Dedicated modules are available for specific physics such
as radiative heat transfer, combustion (gas, coal, heavy fuel oil, …),
magneto-hydrodynamics, compressible flows, two-phase flows
(Euler-Lagrange approach with two-way coupling), extensions to
specific applications (e.g. Mercure_Saturne for atmospheric
environment).
It runs in parallel with MPI on distributed memory machines.
Developed since 1997 at EDF R&D, it is based on a co-located Finite
Volume approach that accepts meshes with any type of cell
(tetrahedral, hexahedral, prismatic, pyramidal, polyhedral…) and any
type of grid structure (unstructured, block structured, hybrid,
conforming or with hanging nodes, …).

There are three methods to install code-saturne-doc on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install code-saturne-doc Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install code-saturne-doc using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install code-saturne-docInstall code-saturne-doc Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install code-saturne-doc using apt by running the following command:

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install code-saturne-doc using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install code-saturne-doc
How To Uninstall code-saturne-doc on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the code-saturne-doc package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove code-saturne-doc
Uninstall code-saturne-doc And Its Dependencies
To uninstall code-saturne-doc and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove code-saturne-doc
Remove code-saturne-doc Configurations and Data
To remove code-saturne-doc configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge code-saturne-doc
Remove code-saturne-doc configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove code-saturne-doc configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge code-saturne-doc
