Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install danmaq on Kali Linux.
What is danmaq
danmaq is:
DanmaQ is a desktop danmaku client. It is used to display danmaku strings.
“danmaku”, originally a Japanese word, is a certain method of instant
commenting over the Internet. It originated in Japan and became
popular in East Asian cultural circle. In this case, People write comments
and send them to a danmaku server. The server will push comments to
danmaku clients connected to it, where comments are displayed on a real-time
basis. Comment strings will fly over the screen with artistic effects.
This package provides a danmaku client program implemented in Qt5.
There are three methods to install danmaq on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install danmaq Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install danmaq using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install danmaqInstall danmaq Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install danmaq using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install danmaqInstall danmaq Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install danmaq using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install danmaq
How To Uninstall danmaq on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the danmaq package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove danmaq
Uninstall danmaq And Its Dependencies
To uninstall danmaq and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove danmaq
Remove danmaq Configurations and Data
To remove danmaq configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge danmaq
Remove danmaq configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove danmaq configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge danmaq
