What is debconf-kde-helper
debconf-kde-helper is:
Debconf KDE is a GUI library for including Debconf frontends in Qt-based
applications.
Debconf is a configuration management system for Debian packages, which
is used to ask questions when they are installed.
This library is written in C++ and used by Apper and Muon to
embed Debconf dialogs.
This package contains a small standalone tool to display a KDE Debconf
dialog without linking against the Debconf KDE library.
There are three methods to install debconf-kde-helper on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install debconf-kde-helper Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install debconf-kde-helper using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install debconf-kde-helper
Install debconf-kde-helper Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install debconf-kde-helper using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install debconf-kde-helper
Install debconf-kde-helper Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install debconf-kde-helper using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install debconf-kde-helper
How To Uninstall debconf-kde-helper on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the debconf-kde-helper package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove debconf-kde-helper
Uninstall debconf-kde-helper And Its Dependencies
To uninstall debconf-kde-helper and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove debconf-kde-helper
Remove debconf-kde-helper Configurations and Data
To remove debconf-kde-helper configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge debconf-kde-helper
Remove debconf-kde-helper configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove debconf-kde-helper configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge debconf-kde-helper
