on Kali Linux.
What is dkopp
dkopp is:
Dkopp is a program used to copy or back-up disk files to DVD or
BD (Blue-ray) media. Full or incremental backups can be done,
with full or incremental media verification. A GUI is used to
navigate through directories to select or de-select files or
directories at any level. Backup jobs can be saved for later re-use.
New, deleted, and updated disk files are handled automatically,
without re-editing the backup job. An incremental backup updates
the same DVD/BD media used for a prior full backup. Files can be
restored to the same or another location on disk. Large backup
jobs can be done using multiple DVD media.
There are three methods to install dkopp
on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install dkopp Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install dkopp
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install dkopp
Install dkopp Using apt
Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install dkopp
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install dkopp
Install dkopp Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install dkopp
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install dkopp
How To Uninstall dkopp on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the dkopp
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove dkopp
Uninstall dkopp And Its Dependencies
To uninstall dkopp
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove dkopp
Remove dkopp Configurations and Data
To remove dkopp
configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge dkopp
Remove dkopp configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove dkopp
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge dkopp
