What is dlt-viewer
dlt-viewer is:
The Diagnostic Log and Trace Viewer is an application that can send and
receive control messages to the DLT daemon, e.g., to set individual log
levels of applications and contexts or get the list of applications
and contexts registered in the DLT daemon.
There are three methods to install dlt-viewer on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install dlt-viewer Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install dlt-viewer using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install dlt-viewerInstall dlt-viewer Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install dlt-viewer using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install dlt-viewerInstall dlt-viewer Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install dlt-viewer using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install dlt-viewer
How To Uninstall dlt-viewer on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the dlt-viewer package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove dlt-viewer
Uninstall dlt-viewer And Its Dependencies
To uninstall dlt-viewer and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove dlt-viewer
Remove dlt-viewer Configurations and Data
To remove dlt-viewer configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge dlt-viewer
Remove dlt-viewer configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove dlt-viewer configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge dlt-viewer
