What is gap-grape
gap-grape is:
GAP is a system for computational discrete algebra with particular
emphasis on computational group theory, but which has already proved
useful also in other areas.
This package implements computing with graphs and groups for GAP.
GRAPE is primarily designed for constructing and analysing graphs
related to groups, finite geometries, and designs; special emphasis
is placed on the determination of regularity properties and subgraph
structure.
There are three methods to install gap-grape on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install gap-grape Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install gap-grape using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install gap-grape
Install gap-grape Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install gap-grape using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install gap-grape
Install gap-grape Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install gap-grape using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install gap-grape
How To Uninstall gap-grape on Ubuntu 22.04
To uninstall only the gap-grape package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove gap-grape
Uninstall gap-grape And Its Dependencies
To uninstall gap-grape and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 22.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove gap-grape
Remove gap-grape Configurations and Data
To remove gap-grape configuration and data from Ubuntu 22.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge gap-grape
Remove gap-grape configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove gap-grape configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge gap-grape
