on Ubuntu 22.04.
What is gtk3-im-libthai
gtk3-im-libthai is:
LibThai is a set of Thai language support routines aimed to ease
developers’ tasks to incorporate Thai language support in their applications.
It includes important Thai-specific functions e.g. word breaking, input and
output methods as well as basic character and string supports.
This package provides third-party plugin for Thai input method in GTK+ 3,
including input sequence correction, using LibThai.
There are three methods to install gtk3-im-libthai
on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install gtk3-im-libthai Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install gtk3-im-libthai
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install gtk3-im-libthai
Install gtk3-im-libthai Using apt
Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install gtk3-im-libthai
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install gtk3-im-libthai
Install gtk3-im-libthai Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install gtk3-im-libthai
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install gtk3-im-libthai
How To Uninstall gtk3-im-libthai on Ubuntu 22.04
To uninstall only the gtk3-im-libthai
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove gtk3-im-libthai
Uninstall gtk3-im-libthai And Its Dependencies
To uninstall gtk3-im-libthai
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 22.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove gtk3-im-libthai
Remove gtk3-im-libthai Configurations and Data
To remove gtk3-im-libthai
configuration and data from Ubuntu 22.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge gtk3-im-libthai
Remove gtk3-im-libthai configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove gtk3-im-libthai
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge gtk3-im-libthai
