What is jbibtex-base
jbibtex-base is:
This is JBibTeX, a Japanized BibTeX based on the original BibTeX 0.99c.
JBibTeX can handle Kanji characters (EUC-JP).
This package contains library files for JBibTeX. You need to install
jbibtex-bin to use JBibTeX.
This is a part of ASCII pTeX distribution, but you can use this
program not only with ASCII p(La)TeX but also with NTT j(La)TeX.
There are three methods to install jbibtex-base
on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get

Install jbibtex-base Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install jbibtex-base
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install jbibtex-base

Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install jbibtex-base
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install jbibtex-base
Install jbibtex-base Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install jbibtex-base
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install jbibtex-base
How To Uninstall jbibtex-base on Ubuntu 22.04
To uninstall only the jbibtex-base
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove jbibtex-base
Uninstall jbibtex-base And Its Dependencies
To uninstall jbibtex-base
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 22.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove jbibtex-base
Remove jbibtex-base Configurations and Data
To remove jbibtex-base
configuration and data from Ubuntu 22.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge jbibtex-base
Remove jbibtex-base configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove jbibtex-base
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge jbibtex-base
