Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install kapman on Ubuntu 22.04.
What is kapman
kapman is:
Kapman is a clone of the well known game Pac-Man. You must go through the
levels escaping ghosts in a maze. You lose a life when a ghost eats you, but
you can eat the ghosts for a few seconds when eating an energizer. You win
points when eating pills, energizers, and bonus, and you win one life for
each 10,000 points. When you have eaten all the pills and energizers of a
level, you go to the next level, and the player and ghost speeds increase.
This package is part of the KDE games module.
There are three methods to install kapman on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install kapman Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install kapman using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install kapman
Install kapman Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install kapman using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install kapman
Install kapman Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install kapman using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install kapman
How To Uninstall kapman on Ubuntu 22.04
To uninstall only the kapman package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove kapman
Uninstall kapman And Its Dependencies
To uninstall kapman and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 22.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove kapman
Remove kapman Configurations and Data
To remove kapman configuration and data from Ubuntu 22.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge kapman
Remove kapman configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove kapman configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge kapman
