What is libfiu-dev
libfiu-dev is:
libfiu is a C library for fault injection. It provides functions to mark
“points of failure†inside your code (the “core APIâ€), and functions to
enable/disable the failure of those points (the “control APIâ€).
This package contains the development libraries and documentation in HTML and
reStructuredText formats.
There are three methods to install libfiu-dev
on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get

using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libfiu-dev

After updating apt database, We can install libfiu-dev

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libfiu-dev
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libfiu-dev
How To Uninstall libfiu-dev on Ubuntu 22.04
To uninstall only the libfiu-dev
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libfiu-dev
Uninstall libfiu-dev And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libfiu-dev
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 22.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libfiu-dev
Remove libfiu-dev Configurations and Data
To remove libfiu-dev
configuration and data from Ubuntu 22.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libfiu-dev
Remove libfiu-dev configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libfiu-dev
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge libfiu-dev
