libfreeimageplus-dev is:
FreeImage is an Open Source C/C++ library project for developers who would
like to support popular graphics image formats like PNG, BMP, JPEG, TIFF
and others as needed by today’s multimedia applications. FreeImage is

with Linux, 32 bit Windows and Mac OS X).
This package contains the headers and static libraries needed to develop
programs using FreeImagePlus.
There are three methods to install libfreeimageplus-dev

To remove libfreeimageplus-dev
configuration and data from Ubuntu 22.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libfreeimageplus-dev
Remove libfreeimageplus-dev configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libfreeimageplus-dev
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge libfreeimageplus-dev
