Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install libfrontier-rpc-perl
on Ubuntu 22.04.
What is libfrontier-rpc-perl
libfrontier-rpc-perl is:
Frontier::RPC implements UserLand Software’s XML RPC (Remote
Procedure Calls using Extensible Markup Language). Frontier::RPC
includes both a client module for making requests to a server and
a daemon module for implementing servers. Frontier::RPC uses RPC2
format messages.
There are three methods to install libfrontier-rpc-perl
on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libfrontier-rpc-perl Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libfrontier-rpc-perl

Install libfrontier-rpc-perl Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libfrontier-rpc-perl
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libfrontier-rpc-perl
How To Uninstall libfrontier-rpc-perl on Ubuntu 22.04
To uninstall only the libfrontier-rpc-perl
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libfrontier-rpc-perl
Uninstall libfrontier-rpc-perl And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libfrontier-rpc-perl
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 22.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libfrontier-rpc-perl
Remove libfrontier-rpc-perl Configurations and Data
To remove libfrontier-rpc-perl
configuration and data from Ubuntu 22.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libfrontier-rpc-perl
Remove libfrontier-rpc-perl configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libfrontier-rpc-perl
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge libfrontier-rpc-perl
