What is libganymed-ssh2-java
libganymed-ssh2-java is:
Ganymed SSH-2 for Java is a library which implements the SSH-2
protocol in pure Java. It allows one to connect to SSH servers from
within Java programs. It supports SSH sessions (remote command
execution and shell access), local and remote port forwarding, local
stream forwarding, X11 forwarding, SCP and SFTP. There are no
dependencies on any JCE provider, as all crypto functionality is
included.
There are three methods to install libganymed-ssh2-java on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libganymed-ssh2-java Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libganymed-ssh2-java using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libganymed-ssh2-java
Install libganymed-ssh2-java Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install libganymed-ssh2-java using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libganymed-ssh2-java
Install libganymed-ssh2-java Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libganymed-ssh2-java using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libganymed-ssh2-java
How To Uninstall libganymed-ssh2-java on Ubuntu 22.04
To uninstall only the libganymed-ssh2-java package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libganymed-ssh2-java
Uninstall libganymed-ssh2-java And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libganymed-ssh2-java and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 22.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libganymed-ssh2-java
Remove libganymed-ssh2-java Configurations and Data
To remove libganymed-ssh2-java configuration and data from Ubuntu 22.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libganymed-ssh2-java
Remove libganymed-ssh2-java configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libganymed-ssh2-java configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge libganymed-ssh2-java
