on Ubuntu 22.04.
What is libgearman8
libgearman8 is:
Gearman is a system to farm out work to other machines, dispatching function
calls to machines that are better suited to do work, to do work in parallel,
to load balance lots of function calls, or to call functions between languages.
This package contains the C reimplementation of the client library.
There are three methods to install libgearman8
on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libgearman8 Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libgearman8
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libgearman8
Install libgearman8 Using apt
Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install libgearman8
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libgearman8
Install libgearman8 Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libgearman8
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libgearman8
How To Uninstall libgearman8 on Ubuntu 22.04
To uninstall only the libgearman8
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libgearman8
Uninstall libgearman8 And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libgearman8
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 22.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libgearman8
Remove libgearman8 Configurations and Data
To remove libgearman8
configuration and data from Ubuntu 22.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libgearman8
Remove libgearman8 configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libgearman8
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge libgearman8
