Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install libgeocode-glib-doc
on Ubuntu 22.04.
What is libgeocode-glib-doc
libgeocode-glib-doc is:
Geocode-glib allows you to do geocoding (going from a place name,
to a longitude/latitude pair) and reverse geocoding (finding a place
name from coordinates) using the Nominatim service.
This library should be used in place of Geoclue’s D-Bus API for
geocoding and reverse geocoding.
This package contains the documentation for geocode-glib.
There are three methods to install libgeocode-glib-doc
on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libgeocode-glib-doc Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libgeocode-glib-doc
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libgeocode-glib-doc
Install libgeocode-glib-doc Using apt
Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install libgeocode-glib-doc
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libgeocode-glib-doc
Install libgeocode-glib-doc Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libgeocode-glib-doc
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libgeocode-glib-doc
How To Uninstall libgeocode-glib-doc on Ubuntu 22.04
To uninstall only the libgeocode-glib-doc
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libgeocode-glib-doc
Uninstall libgeocode-glib-doc And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libgeocode-glib-doc
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 22.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libgeocode-glib-doc
Remove libgeocode-glib-doc Configurations and Data
To remove libgeocode-glib-doc
configuration and data from Ubuntu 22.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libgeocode-glib-doc
Remove libgeocode-glib-doc configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libgeocode-glib-doc
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge libgeocode-glib-doc
