Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install libgfapi0
on Ubuntu 22.04.
What is libgfapi0
libgfapi0 is:
GlusterFS is a clustered file-system capable of scaling to several
petabytes. It aggregates various storage bricks over Infiniband RDMA
or TCP/IP interconnect into one large parallel network file
system. GlusterFS is one of the most sophisticated file system in
terms of features and extensibility. It borrows a powerful concept
called Translators from GNU Hurd kernel. Much of the code in GlusterFS
is in userspace and easily manageable.
This package contains libgfapi.
There are three methods to install libgfapi0
on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libgfapi0 Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libgfapi0
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libgfapi0
Install libgfapi0 Using apt
Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install libgfapi0
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libgfapi0
Install libgfapi0 Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libgfapi0
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libgfapi0
How To Uninstall libgfapi0 on Ubuntu 22.04
To uninstall only the libgfapi0
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libgfapi0
Uninstall libgfapi0 And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libgfapi0
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 22.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libgfapi0
Remove libgfapi0 Configurations and Data
To remove libgfapi0
configuration and data from Ubuntu 22.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libgfapi0
Remove libgfapi0 configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libgfapi0
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge libgfapi0
