What is libgflags2.2
libgflags2.2 is:
gflags is a library that implements commandline flags processing. As
such it’s a replacement for getopt(). It has increased flexibility,
including built-in support for C++ types like string, and the ability
to define flags in the source file in which they’re used.
This package contains shared libraries.
There are three methods to install libgflags2.2 on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libgflags2.2 Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libgflags2.2 using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libgflags2.2
Install libgflags2.2 Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install libgflags2.2 using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libgflags2.2
Install libgflags2.2 Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libgflags2.2 using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libgflags2.2
How To Uninstall libgflags2.2 on Ubuntu 22.04
To uninstall only the libgflags2.2 package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libgflags2.2
Uninstall libgflags2.2 And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libgflags2.2 and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 22.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libgflags2.2
Remove libgflags2.2 Configurations and Data
To remove libgflags2.2 configuration and data from Ubuntu 22.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libgflags2.2
Remove libgflags2.2 configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libgflags2.2 configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge libgflags2.2
