What is libgnomevfs2-bin
libgnomevfs2-bin is:
GNOME VFS is the GNOME virtual file system. It is the foundation of the
Nautilus file manager. It provides a modular architecture and ships with
several modules that implement support for local files, http, ftp and others.
It provides an URI-based API, a backend supporting asynchronous file
operations, a MIME type manipulation library and other features.
This package contains some example binaries using the GNOME VFS
library.
There are three methods to install libgnomevfs2-bin
on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libgnomevfs2-bin
using aptitude

sudo aptitude -y install libgnomevfs2-bin
How To Uninstall libgnomevfs2-bin on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the libgnomevfs2-bin
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libgnomevfs2-bin

To uninstall libgnomevfs2-bin
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libgnomevfs2-bin
Remove libgnomevfs2-bin Configurations and Data
To remove libgnomevfs2-bin
configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libgnomevfs2-bin
Remove libgnomevfs2-bin configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libgnomevfs2-bin
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge libgnomevfs2-bin
