In this tutorial we learn how to install libgpod-cil on Ubuntu 18.04.

What is libgpod-cil

libgpod-cil is:

libgpod is a library meant to abstract access to an iPod’s content. It
provides an easy way to use API to retrieve the list of files and
playlist storeed on an iPod, to modify them and to save them back to
the iPod.

This package contains the managed CLI bindings for libgpod, which
are needed to run CLI applications which use this library.

There are three methods to install libgpod-cil on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install libgpod-cil Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install libgpod-cil using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install libgpod-cil

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

sudo apt update

After updating apt database, We can install libgpod-cil using apt by running the following command:
