What is libgwengui-gtk2-dev
libgwengui-gtk2-dev is:
Gwenhywfar allows porting of your software to different operating
systems like Linux, *BSD, Windows etc. It also provides some often
needed modules such as configuration file handling, simple XML file
parsing, IPC etc.
This package contains development files of the Gwenhywfar GUI implementation
for GTK2.
There are three methods to install libgwengui-gtk2-dev on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libgwengui-gtk2-dev Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libgwengui-gtk2-dev using apt-get by running the following command:

Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install libgwengui-gtk2-dev using apt by running the following command:

Install libgwengui-gtk2-dev Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libgwengui-gtk2-dev using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libgwengui-gtk2-dev

To uninstall only the libgwengui-gtk2-dev package we can use the following command:

Remove libgwengui-gtk2-dev Configurations and Data
To remove libgwengui-gtk2-dev configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libgwengui-gtk2-dev
Remove libgwengui-gtk2-dev configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libgwengui-gtk2-dev configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge libgwengui-gtk2-dev
