What is plplot-driver-wxwidgets
plplot-driver-wxwidgets is:
PLplot is relatively small, portable, freely distributable, and is rich
enough to satisfy most users. It has a wide range of plot types including
line (linear, log), contour, 3D, fill, and almost 1000 characters
(including Greek and mathematical) in its extended font set. The package
is designed to make it easy to quickly get graphical output; only a
handful of function calls is typically required. For more advanced use,
virtually all aspects of plotting are configurable.
This package provides the wxWidgets driver module for PLplot.
There are three methods to install plplot-driver-wxwidgets on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install plplot-driver-wxwidgets Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install plplot-driver-wxwidgets using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install plplot-driver-wxwidgets
Install plplot-driver-wxwidgets Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install plplot-driver-wxwidgets using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install plplot-driver-wxwidgetsInstall plplot-driver-wxwidgets Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install plplot-driver-wxwidgets using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install plplot-driver-wxwidgets
How To Uninstall plplot-driver-wxwidgets on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the plplot-driver-wxwidgets package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove plplot-driver-wxwidgets
Uninstall plplot-driver-wxwidgets And Its Dependencies
To uninstall plplot-driver-wxwidgets and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove plplot-driver-wxwidgets
Remove plplot-driver-wxwidgets Configurations and Data
To remove plplot-driver-wxwidgets configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge plplot-driver-wxwidgets
Remove plplot-driver-wxwidgets configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove plplot-driver-wxwidgets configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge plplot-driver-wxwidgets
