Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install pugixml-doc on Kali Linux.
What is pugixml-doc
pugixml-doc is:
pugixml is a lightweight C++ XML processing library with XPath
support. It features:
- DOM like interface with rich traversal/modification capabilities
- Extermely fast non-validating XML parser which constructs the DOM
tree from an XML file/buffer. - XPath 1.0 implementation for complex data-driven tree queries
- Full Unicode support with Unicode interface variants and automatic
encoding conversions.

There are three methods to install pugixml-doc on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install pugixml-doc Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install pugixml-doc using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install pugixml-docInstall pugixml-doc Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install pugixml-doc using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install pugixml-docInstall pugixml-doc Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install pugixml-doc using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install pugixml-doc
How To Uninstall pugixml-doc on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the pugixml-doc package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove pugixml-doc
Uninstall pugixml-doc And Its Dependencies
To uninstall pugixml-doc and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove pugixml-doc
Remove pugixml-doc Configurations and Data
To remove pugixml-doc configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge pugixml-doc
Remove pugixml-doc configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove pugixml-doc configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge pugixml-doc
