Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install rhn-virtualization-host
on CentOS 8.
What is rhn-virtualization-host
This package contains code for RHN’s and Spacewalk’s Virtualization support that is specific to the Host system (a.k.a. Dom0).
We can use yum
or dnf
to install rhn-virtualization-host
on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install rhn-virtualization-host.
Install rhn-virtualization-host on CentOS 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install rhn-virtualization-host
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install rhn-virtualization-host
Install rhn-virtualization-host on CentOS 8 Using yum

How To Uninstall rhn-virtualization-host on CentOS 8
To uninstall only the rhn-virtualization-host
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove rhn-virtualization-host
