Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install sat4j on Kali Linux.
What is sat4j
sat4j is:
The aim of the SAT4J library is to provide an efficient library of SAT solvers
in Java. Compared to the OpenSAT project, the SAT4J library targets first
users of SAT “black boxes”, willing to embed SAT technologies into their
application without worrying about the details. The SAT4J project also tries
to provide a basis of work for SAT researchers.
There are three methods to install sat4j on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install sat4j Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install sat4j using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install sat4j
Install sat4j Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install sat4j using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install sat4jInstall sat4j Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install sat4j using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install sat4j
How To Uninstall sat4j on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the sat4j package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove sat4j
Uninstall sat4j And Its Dependencies
To uninstall sat4j and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove sat4j
Remove sat4j Configurations and Data
To remove sat4j configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge sat4j
Remove sat4j configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove sat4j configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge sat4j
