What is ser-player
ser-player is:
The SER file format can be used to store data from fast frame rate astronomy
cameras instead of using the AVI file format. This application enables users
to review SER files in the same way that AVI files are reviewed with a video
player.
There are three methods to install ser-player on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install ser-player Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install ser-player using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install ser-playerInstall ser-player Using apt

After updating apt database, We can install ser-player using apt by running the following command:

Install ser-player Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install ser-player using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install ser-player
How To Uninstall ser-player on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the ser-player package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove ser-player
Uninstall ser-player And Its Dependencies
To uninstall ser-player and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove ser-player
Remove ser-player Configurations and Data
To remove ser-player configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge ser-player
Remove ser-player configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove ser-player configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
