What is spf-tools-perl
spf-tools-perl is:
A collection of Sender Policy Framework (SPF) tools that are based on the
fully RFC-conforming Mail::SPF Perl module. The following tools are included
in this package:
- spfquery: A command-line tool for performing SPF checks.
- spfd: A daemon for services that perform SPF checks frequently.
There are three methods to install spf-tools-perl
on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install spf-tools-perl Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install spf-tools-perl
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install spf-tools-perl

Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install spf-tools-perl
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install spf-tools-perl
Install spf-tools-perl Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install spf-tools-perl
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install spf-tools-perl
How To Uninstall spf-tools-perl on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the spf-tools-perl
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove spf-tools-perl
Uninstall spf-tools-perl And Its Dependencies
To uninstall spf-tools-perl
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove spf-tools-perl
Remove spf-tools-perl Configurations and Data
To remove spf-tools-perl
configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge spf-tools-perl
Remove spf-tools-perl configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove spf-tools-perl
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge spf-tools-perl
