Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install sreview-web on Kali Linux.
What is sreview-web
sreview-web is:
SReview is a video review and transcoding system. It allows users to
review videos, and will then (after the review has finished) transcode
them into archive-quality video files.
This package contains the sreview webinterface, used by administrators
and reviewers.
There are three methods to install sreview-web on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install sreview-web Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install sreview-web using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install sreview-web
Install sreview-web Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install sreview-web using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install sreview-webInstall sreview-web Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install sreview-web using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install sreview-web
How To Uninstall sreview-web on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the sreview-web package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove sreview-web
Uninstall sreview-web And Its Dependencies
To uninstall sreview-web and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove sreview-web
Remove sreview-web Configurations and Data
To remove sreview-web configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge sreview-web
Remove sreview-web configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove sreview-web configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge sreview-web
