What is st-console
st-console is:
st-console is command-line tool for calculate statistics
from a file or standard input. It allow one to calculate:
sum, arithmetic mean, median, percentile, quartile, standard
deviation or standard error.
It’s a simpler solution for simpler problems focused on
descriptive statistics, handy when you need quick mathematics
results without leaving the shell.
There are three methods to install st-console on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install st-console Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install st-console using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install st-consoleInstall st-console Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install st-console using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install st-consoleInstall st-console Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install st-console using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install st-console
How To Uninstall st-console on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the st-console package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove st-console
Uninstall st-console And Its Dependencies
To uninstall st-console and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove st-console
Remove st-console Configurations and Data
To remove st-console configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge st-console
Remove st-console configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove st-console configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge st-console
