In this tutorial we learn how to install stressant on Kali Linux.
What is stressant
stressant is:
stressant is designed to run on new machines to make sure they will
work reliably by testing various parts of the system (CPU, RAM, disk,
network) by putting them under heavy load and try to detect failures.
As much as possible, stressant tries to reuse existing tools to
perform the various tasks and aims to be run automatically.
There are three methods to install stressant on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install stressant Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install stressant using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install stressantInstall stressant Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install stressant using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install stressantInstall stressant Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install stressant using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install stressant
How To Uninstall stressant on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the stressant package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove stressant
Uninstall stressant And Its Dependencies
To uninstall stressant and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove stressant
Remove stressant Configurations and Data
To remove stressant configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge stressant
Remove stressant configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove stressant configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge stressant
