What is stressapptest
stressapptest is:
Stressful Application Test (or stressapptest, its unix name) tries to maximize
randomized traffic to memory from processor and I/O, with the intent of
creating a realistic high load situation in order to test the existing hardware
devices in a computer.
Stressapptest may be used for various purposes:
- stress test
- hardware qualification and debugging
- memory interface test
- disk testing
There are three methods to install stressapptest on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

After updating apt database, We can install stressapptest using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install stressapptest
How To Uninstall stressapptest on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the stressapptest package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove stressapptest
Uninstall stressapptest And Its Dependencies
To uninstall stressapptest and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove stressapptest
Remove stressapptest Configurations and Data
To remove stressapptest configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge stressapptest
Remove stressapptest configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
