What is surf-alggeo
surf-alggeo is:
Surf is a script driven tool to visualize some real algebraic geometry:
plane algebraic curves, algebraic surfaces and hyperplane sections of
surfaces.
The algorithms should be stable enough not to be confused by curve/surface
singularities in codimension greater than one and the degree of the surface
or curve. This has been achieved quite a bit. Curves of degree up to 30 and
surfaces of degree up to 20 have been drawn successfully. However, there are
examples of curves/surfaces of lower degree where surf fails to produce
perfect images. This happens especially if the equation of the curve/surface
is not reduced. Best results are achieved using reduced equations. On the other
hand, surf displays the Fermat-curves accurately for degree up to 98.
Surf is free software distributed under the GNU General Public License (GPL).
This dummy package is meant to allow multi-variant support for surf.
There are three methods to install surf-alggeo on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install surf-alggeo Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install surf-alggeo using apt-get by running the following command:

After updating apt database, We can install surf-alggeo using apt by running the following command:

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install surf-alggeo using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install surf-alggeo
How To Uninstall surf-alggeo on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the surf-alggeo package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove surf-alggeo
Uninstall surf-alggeo And Its Dependencies
To uninstall surf-alggeo and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove surf-alggeo
Remove surf-alggeo Configurations and Data
To remove surf-alggeo configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge surf-alggeo
Remove surf-alggeo configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove surf-alggeo configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge surf-alggeo
