What is svn2cl
svn2cl is:
This tool generates a classic GNU-style ChangeLog from the log messages
in a Subversion repository. It works as a wrapper around the ‘svn log’
command, parsing the XML output with an XSLT stylesheet. Alternatively it
can generate HTML output.
There are three methods to install svn2cl on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install svn2cl Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install svn2cl using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install svn2clInstall svn2cl Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install svn2cl using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install svn2clInstall svn2cl Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install svn2cl using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install svn2cl
How To Uninstall svn2cl on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the svn2cl package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove svn2cl
Uninstall svn2cl And Its Dependencies
To uninstall svn2cl and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove svn2cl
Remove svn2cl Configurations and Data
To remove svn2cl configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge svn2cl
Remove svn2cl configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove svn2cl configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge svn2cl
