What is swi-prolog-nox
swi-prolog-nox is:
SWI-Prolog is a fast and powerful ISO/Edinburgh-style Prolog compiler with a

environment which enables substantial applications to be developed with it.
SWI-Prolog additionally offers:
- A powerful module system
- Garbage collection
- Unicode character set handling
- Unbounted integer and rational number arithmetic
- Multithreading support
- A powerful C/C++ interface
- GNU Readline interface
This package contains a working SWI-Prolog installation without GUI components.
There are three methods to install swi-prolog-nox on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install swi-prolog-nox Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install swi-prolog-nox using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install swi-prolog-noxInstall swi-prolog-nox Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install swi-prolog-nox using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install swi-prolog-noxInstall swi-prolog-nox Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install swi-prolog-nox using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install swi-prolog-nox
How To Uninstall swi-prolog-nox on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the swi-prolog-nox package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove swi-prolog-nox
Uninstall swi-prolog-nox And Its Dependencies
To uninstall swi-prolog-nox and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove swi-prolog-nox
Remove swi-prolog-nox Configurations and Data
To remove swi-prolog-nox configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge swi-prolog-nox
Remove swi-prolog-nox configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove swi-prolog-nox configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge swi-prolog-nox
