on Ubuntu 20.04.
What is 4store
4store is:
4store is a database storage and query engine that holds RDF data.
4store’s main strengths are its performance, scalability and stability.
It does not provide many features over and above RDF storage and SPARQL
queries, but if your are looking for a scalable, secure, fast and
efficient RDF store, then 4store should be on your shortlist.
This package contains the database daemon and related utilities.
There are three methods to install 4store
on Ubuntu 20.04. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install 4store Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install 4store
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install 4store
Install 4store Using apt
Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install 4store
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install 4store
Install 4store Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install 4store
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install 4store
How To Uninstall 4store on Ubuntu 20.04
To uninstall only the 4store
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove 4store
Uninstall 4store And Its Dependencies
To uninstall 4store
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 20.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove 4store
Remove 4store Configurations and Data
To remove 4store
configuration and data from Ubuntu 20.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge 4store
Remove 4store configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove 4store
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge 4store
