What is argagg-dev
argagg-dev is:
This is yet another C++ command line argument/option parser. It was
written as a simple and idiomatic alternative to other frameworks like
getopt, Boost program options, TCLAP, and others. The goal is to achieve
the majority of argument parsing needs in a simple manner with an easy
to use API. It operates as a single pass over all arguments, recognizing
flags prefixed by – (short) or – (long) and aggregating them into easy
to access structures with lots of convenience functions. It defers
processing types until you access them, so the result structures end up
just being pointers into the original command line argument C-strings.
argagg supports POSIX recommended argument syntax conventions.
There are three methods to install argagg-dev on Ubuntu 20.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install argagg-dev Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install argagg-dev using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install argagg-dev
Install argagg-dev Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install argagg-dev using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install argagg-dev
Install argagg-dev Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install argagg-dev using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install argagg-dev
How To Uninstall argagg-dev on Ubuntu 20.04
To uninstall only the argagg-dev package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove argagg-dev
Uninstall argagg-dev And Its Dependencies
To uninstall argagg-dev and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 20.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove argagg-dev
Remove argagg-dev Configurations and Data
To remove argagg-dev configuration and data from Ubuntu 20.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge argagg-dev
Remove argagg-dev configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove argagg-dev configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge argagg-dev
