blastem is:
BlastEm is a highly precise multi-system emulator that emulates
the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive, Master System and Game Gear.
Despite this high accuracy, even the most demanding software runs
at full speed on modest hardware.
There are three methods to install blastem
on Ubuntu 20.04. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install blastem Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install blastem
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install blastem

How To Uninstall blastem on Ubuntu 20.04
To uninstall only the blastem
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove blastem
Uninstall blastem And Its Dependencies
To uninstall blastem
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 20.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove blastem
Remove blastem Configurations and Data
To remove blastem
configuration and data from Ubuntu 20.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge blastem
Remove blastem configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove blastem
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge blastem
