on Ubuntu 20.04.
What is blt-demo
blt-demo is:
BLT is a library of useful extensions for the Tcl language and the
popular Tk graphical toolkit. It adds a vector and tree data type,
background execution and some debugging tools to Tcl, and provides
several new widgets for Tk, including graphs, bar-charts, trees, tabs,
splines and hyper-links, as well as a new geometry manager, drag &
drop support, and more.
This package contains demos and samples showing the power and
versatility of BLT.
There are three methods to install blt-demo
on Ubuntu 20.04. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install blt-demo Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install blt-demo
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install blt-demo
Install blt-demo Using apt
Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install blt-demo
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install blt-demo
Install blt-demo Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install blt-demo
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install blt-demo
How To Uninstall blt-demo on Ubuntu 20.04
To uninstall only the blt-demo
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove blt-demo
Uninstall blt-demo And Its Dependencies
To uninstall blt-demo
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 20.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove blt-demo
Remove blt-demo Configurations and Data
To remove blt-demo
configuration and data from Ubuntu 20.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge blt-demo
Remove blt-demo configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove blt-demo
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge blt-demo
