What is gameconqueror
gameconqueror is:
GameConqueror is a GUI based on Python and GTK+ using scanmem to locate
the address of a variable in a running process. This can be used for the
analysis or modification of a hostile process on a compromised machine, for
reverse engineering, or as a “pokefinder” to cheat at video games.
GameConqueror provides a CheatEngine-alike user-friendly interface with more
features than scanmem.
There are three methods to install gameconqueror on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install gameconqueror Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install gameconqueror using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install gameconquerorInstall gameconqueror Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install gameconqueror using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install gameconquerorInstall gameconqueror Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install gameconqueror using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install gameconqueror
How To Uninstall gameconqueror on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the gameconqueror package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove gameconqueror
Uninstall gameconqueror And Its Dependencies
To uninstall gameconqueror and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove gameconqueror
Remove gameconqueror Configurations and Data
To remove gameconqueror configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge gameconqueror
Remove gameconqueror configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove gameconqueror configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
