What is gap-toric
gap-toric is:
GAP is a system for computational discrete algebra with particular
emphasis on computational group theory, but which has already proved
useful also in other areas.
This package provides for GAP routines for working with toric varieties
and dealing with cones and related combinatorial geometric object.
There are three methods to install gap-toric on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install gap-toric Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install gap-toric using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install gap-toricInstall gap-toric Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install gap-toric using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install gap-toricInstall gap-toric Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install gap-toric using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install gap-toric
How To Uninstall gap-toric on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the gap-toric package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove gap-toric
Uninstall gap-toric And Its Dependencies
To uninstall gap-toric and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove gap-toric
Remove gap-toric Configurations and Data
To remove gap-toric configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge gap-toric
Remove gap-toric configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove gap-toric configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge gap-toric
