What is git-merge-changelog
git-merge-changelog is:
ChangeLog files always foul up most version control systems in
their default configuration.
git-merge-changelog is a tool from gnulib designed to help with this
for the case of GNU-style ChangeLogs; it can be used with at least
git, bzr, and hg.
There are three methods to install git-merge-changelog

How To Uninstall git-merge-changelog on Ubuntu 20.04
To uninstall only the git-merge-changelog
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove git-merge-changelog

To uninstall git-merge-changelog
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 20.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove git-merge-changelog
