on Ubuntu 20.04.
What is libalberta4
libalberta4 is:
ALBERTA is an adaptive finite element library for solving partial
differential equations (PDEs).
It offers a hierarchical mesh and methods for 1d, 2d and 3d stationary
as well as time dependent problems. It is written in C with speed and
flexibility in mind.
This package contains the shared library.
There are three methods to install libalberta4
on Ubuntu 20.04. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libalberta4 Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libalberta4
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libalberta4
Install libalberta4 Using apt
Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install libalberta4
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libalberta4
Install libalberta4 Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libalberta4
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libalberta4
How To Uninstall libalberta4 on Ubuntu 20.04
To uninstall only the libalberta4
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libalberta4
Uninstall libalberta4 And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libalberta4
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 20.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libalberta4
Remove libalberta4 Configurations and Data
To remove libalberta4
configuration and data from Ubuntu 20.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libalberta4
Remove libalberta4 configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libalberta4
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge libalberta4
