Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install libaliased-perl
on Ubuntu 20.04.
What is libaliased-perl
libaliased-perl is:
aliased is a module to alias class names to arbitrary aliases in the current
module or script, which is especially useful with classes that are in deep
class hierarchies. It is also handy if a class has been renamed.
Please note that this module only applies to loading object oriented modules,
not for procedural modules in general. Fortunately this is rarely necessary
in practise, since these modules support exporting of needed functions.
There are three methods to install libaliased-perl
on Ubuntu 20.04. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libaliased-perl Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libaliased-perl
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libaliased-perl
Install libaliased-perl Using apt
Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install libaliased-perl
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libaliased-perl
Install libaliased-perl Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libaliased-perl
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libaliased-perl
How To Uninstall libaliased-perl on Ubuntu 20.04
To uninstall only the libaliased-perl
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libaliased-perl
Uninstall libaliased-perl And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libaliased-perl
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 20.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libaliased-perl
Remove libaliased-perl Configurations and Data
To remove libaliased-perl
configuration and data from Ubuntu 20.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libaliased-perl
Remove libaliased-perl configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libaliased-perl
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge libaliased-perl
