Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install libalzabo-perl on Ubuntu 20.04.
What is libalzabo-perl
libalzabo-perl is:
Alzabo is a suite of modules with two core functions. Its first use is as a
data modelling tool. Through either a schema creation GUI, a perl program, or
reverse engineering, you can create a set objects to represent a schema.
Its second function is as an RDBMS to object mapping system. Once you have
created a schema, you can use the Alzabo::Runtime::Table and
Alzabo::Runtime::Row classes to access its data.
There are three methods to install libalzabo-perl on Ubuntu 20.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libalzabo-perl Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libalzabo-perl using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libalzabo-perl
Install libalzabo-perl Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install libalzabo-perl using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libalzabo-perl
Install libalzabo-perl Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libalzabo-perl using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libalzabo-perl
How To Uninstall libalzabo-perl on Ubuntu 20.04
To uninstall only the libalzabo-perl package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libalzabo-perl
Uninstall libalzabo-perl And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libalzabo-perl and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 20.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libalzabo-perl
Remove libalzabo-perl Configurations and Data
To remove libalzabo-perl configuration and data from Ubuntu 20.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libalzabo-perl
Remove libalzabo-perl configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libalzabo-perl configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge libalzabo-perl
