Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install libapache2-mod-rivet
on Ubuntu 20.04.
What is libapache2-mod-rivet
libapache2-mod-rivet is:
Apache Rivet is a system for creating dynamic web content via the Tcl
programming language integrated with Apache Web Server. It is
designed to be fast, powerful and extensible, consume few system
resources, be easy to learn, and to provide the user with a platform
that can also be used for other programming tasks outside the web
(GUI’s, system administration tasks, text processing, database
manipulation, XML, and so on). In order to meet these goals
Tcl programming language was chosen to combine with the Apache HTTP
Server.
There are three methods to install libapache2-mod-rivet
on Ubuntu 20.04. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libapache2-mod-rivet Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libapache2-mod-rivet
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libapache2-mod-rivet
Install libapache2-mod-rivet Using apt
Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install libapache2-mod-rivet
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libapache2-mod-rivet
Install libapache2-mod-rivet Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libapache2-mod-rivet
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libapache2-mod-rivet
How To Uninstall libapache2-mod-rivet on Ubuntu 20.04
To uninstall only the libapache2-mod-rivet
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libapache2-mod-rivet
Uninstall libapache2-mod-rivet And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libapache2-mod-rivet
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 20.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libapache2-mod-rivet
Remove libapache2-mod-rivet Configurations and Data
To remove libapache2-mod-rivet
configuration and data from Ubuntu 20.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libapache2-mod-rivet
Remove libapache2-mod-rivet configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libapache2-mod-rivet
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge libapache2-mod-rivet
