What is libaqsis1
libaqsis1 is:
Aqsis is a high quality, photorealistic, 3D rendering solution. It complies
with the RenderMan(R) interface standard defined by Pixar.
The RenderMan(R) standard has been used in film and television visual effects
since its introduction in 1989. Pixar has used their own implementation for all
of their award winning CG features, and provided their implementation for use
in the visual effects of most major blockbuster films over the last 2
decades. The Aqsis project offers a way for individuals and organisations alike
to gain experience with the RenderMan(R) interface without the cost of
commercial software licenses.
This package contains the Aqsis shared libraries.
There are three methods to install libaqsis1
on Ubuntu 20.04. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libaqsis1 Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libaqsis1
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libaqsis1
Install libaqsis1 Using apt
Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install libaqsis1
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libaqsis1
Install libaqsis1 Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libaqsis1
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libaqsis1
How To Uninstall libaqsis1 on Ubuntu 20.04
To uninstall only the libaqsis1
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libaqsis1
Uninstall libaqsis1 And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libaqsis1
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 20.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libaqsis1
Remove libaqsis1 Configurations and Data
To remove libaqsis1
configuration and data from Ubuntu 20.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libaqsis1
Remove libaqsis1 configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libaqsis1
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge libaqsis1
