on Ubuntu 20.04.
What is libaria-demo
libaria-demo is:
ARIA is an object oriented toolkit for controlling MobileRobots/ActivMedia
mobile robots and their accessories, and for creating robot control
applications. It also provides many cross-platform and high-level tools for
multimedia, networking, and other useful tasks.
This package contains the demo example of the library functions. The example
is renamed to aria-demo and can be used to experiment and test the robot’s
hardware.
There are three methods to install libaria-demo
on Ubuntu 20.04. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libaria-demo Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libaria-demo
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libaria-demo
Install libaria-demo Using apt
Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install libaria-demo
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libaria-demo
Install libaria-demo Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libaria-demo
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libaria-demo
How To Uninstall libaria-demo on Ubuntu 20.04
To uninstall only the libaria-demo
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libaria-demo
Uninstall libaria-demo And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libaria-demo
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 20.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libaria-demo
Remove libaria-demo Configurations and Data
To remove libaria-demo
configuration and data from Ubuntu 20.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libaria-demo
Remove libaria-demo configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libaria-demo
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge libaria-demo
